Introducing Tom Alims, my 2015 personality of the year.
Yes,I know the year is too young to crown a personality but trust me it will take a lot for
another person to beat this record.
For him NYSC wasn't a platform to just relax and get monthly 19k alert. It was a journey to impact in a foreign land and contribute his quota.
He introduced an initiative to buy sandals for children who walk barefooted to school in the community he was sent to and feed the widows. He has gotten massive support from Facebook friends since its launch on 27th May. He proved that Facebook friendship isn't about chatting and likes but also about supporting. With donations from well meaning Nigerians he has made a child in Bogoro have a reason to look forward to going to school and the widows smile again.
He and other collegues (NYSC CORPERS) in conjunction with blue galaxy consult ensured that his initiative to impact to the society in the little way they can became a relity and continuity.
You dont need millions to touch a life if you know millions of people. Nigeria will be a better country if our leaders faced the little problems before the big ones.
Like John Bungan clearly stated "YOU HAVE NOT LIVED TODAY UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN NEVER REPAY YOU"
